Our Work

Connecting Kintyre’s Rainforests

Walks and Talks

Discover the hidden wonders of Kintyre’s rainforest through guided walks, talks, and hands-on experiences that connect people with this rare and remarkable habitat. From learning to identify lichens and exploring the importance of Scotland’s temperate rainforest, to taking part in citizen science projects and practical habitat management sessions, our events offer opportunities to learn, contribute, and help protect these unique woodlands.

Check our News page for upcoming events.

Future Generations

We inspire future generations to value and care for Kintyre’s rainforest through educational workshops, school partnerships, and outdoor learning experiences. By encouraging curiosity, creativity, and a connection to nature from a young age, we help children and young people discover the importance of these unique woodlands and their role in protecting them for the future.

If you work in education and would like us to deliver a rainforest workshop or learning experience for your group, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Collaboration

Collaboration is at the heart of our work to connect people with Kintyre’s rainforest and support its long-term protection. We work closely with local community trusts, businesses, and landowners, as well as organisations such as Action West Loch Tarbert, Fauna & Flora, and the Rainforest Communities Network. We are also a collaborating organisation with the Alliance for Scotland's Rainforest, helping to strengthen collective action for Scotland’s temperate rainforests.

Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved in supporting Kintyre’s rainforest, whether you join us at events, take part in citizen science projects, help identify and record species, collect seeds, plant trees, or simply spread the word about these rare and special habitats. Every contribution helps build awareness, strengthen local connection to the rainforest, and support its future protection and restoration.
